In 2013, I was asked to join the fabulous artists at the Art Cottage, a Working Studio and Gallery. I was thrilled when that opportunity presented itself and I continue to be part of that Gallery. It has been a true blessing to work with these 4 ladies, Sherry Wooley, Sherry Kelley, Vicki Smith and Gay Fly. They each have their own favorite medium and style and we work very well together. The Art Cottage was started in 2011 by Sherry Wooley, Sherry Kelley and several other artists. It is a genuine Working Studio and Galley, as we each paint when it is our day to work. Now, housed in the 1860’s home of a German cabinet maker; it is a welcoming site for our art.

I have been a member of the Canyon Lake Art Guild since 2002 and the New Braunfels Art League since 2003. I have served as President of each of those organizations and I continue to support each group. In 2018 the Greater New Braunfels Arts Council presented me with a Lifetime Achievement Award for which I will be forever grateful.

I am grateful for all of the support that I have received for my art. I never really thought of myself as an artist until I was around wonderful artists. They encourage and enable me to be a better artist and person.

“The best part of my painting experience is seeing what the paint wants to do and what the painting wants to become. Making someone smile warms my heart and keeps me painting.”
